A wakeboard tail tap is a stylish maneuver where you briefly strike or slide the back end (tail) of your board against a surface, such as the water, a rail, or a box feature at a cable park. It is a great way to add flair, control speed, and show off your board control.
Before you try it you want ollies that pop on command and enough time on 50-50s that features don't make you tense up. Nothing here is harder than an ollieA jump off flat water with no ramp, done by loading pressure on the tail and popping the board up out of the water. It's the wakeboard version of the skateboard ollie and the foundation for flat-water tricks like ollie 180s.. The whole trick is timing and where you point your line.
