The Stalefish is the back-hand cousin of the Method. Reach down behind your back leg with your back hand and grab the heel edge just in front of your back binding. Because the hand goes behind the leg, it looks harder than it is once the board comes up to you.
Learn it on heelside straight airs off the L-kicker. Ride in on a mellow heelside edge and keep the board flat off the lip.

Key tips
- Back hand, heel edge, just in front of the back binding, reaching behind the back leg
- Push the board a little forward in the air - it makes the grab easier to reach and looks better
- Board up to the hand, not hand down to the board
