A power slide is an aggressive sideways slide where you spray water by carving hard and releasing the edge. It's a side slide with style and power, and the spray is half the fun. Approach with speed, rotate the board 90 degrees, and press hard into the water to create a wall of spray.
The move depends on commitment. Riders who slow down halfway catch the edge and eat it. Pick a line, commit, and ride it out. It builds directly on hard edging - you need that level of edge pressure to throw real spray.
