The ollie BS180 blind unwrap is exactly what the name describes: you ollie into a backside 180, land blind and stay wrapped, then use a feature to unwind and ride away. It sounds like a small detail but it opens a creative window — any kicker hit becomes a potential source of rotation just from letting the rope do the work.
The trick has no widely agreed name; you'll hear it called "ollie to blind before features" or just "getting wrapped going into a kicker." Whatever you call it, the prerequisite is absolute: your ollie BS180 to blind needs to be dialled to the point where you'd land it a thousand times out of a thousand. This is not a safe trick to learn on a shaky blind landing.
How to do it
Take a gentle edge toward a kicker. Execute your ollie backside 180 and land blind. The instinct is to do the ollie early to give yourself more time in the wrapped position, but not everyone prefers that, as you will be in a difficult position, but some like it.
As soon as you land blind, turn your head to face the feature. You can technically hit it without looking, but the kicker will surprise you — you'll get launched in a weird direction or get bucked off the edge. Train the head turn in open water first: do the ollie BS180 blind with no feature and drill looking forward every time until it's automatic.
Roll up the kicker while wrapped, keeping the handle close to your hip. At the top, just let the rope unwind you naturally — don't force it. Spot the landing below, absorb with bent knees, and ride away.
