What you'll learn

A backside 180 noseroll uses the same concepts as a backside 180 and a frontside noseroll. Combined and done correctly it is one of the most stylish flat ground tricks.

Here is a YouTube guide on how to do a backside 180 noseroll

The idea

A backside 180 nose roll is a snowboard trick where you initiate a backside 180 while shifting your weight forward onto the nose of the board, using it as a pivot point as you pull up your back leg and rotate 180 degrees backside over the nose of your board

  • Step 1 - Setup: approach on a gentle toe-side edge with weight centered or slightly on the back leg and an open chest.
  • Step 2 - Shift of weight and rotation: quickly move your weight to the nose of your board while you initiate the rotation with your head, shoulder and arms. As you initiate the rotation lift up your back leg and bring it around.
  • Step 3 - Landing: Keep looking back to avoid over rotating
