Flat Ground 180
Skill: do a flat ground 180
Prerequisites: Ollie, Riding Switch
A frontside 180 is one of the first freestyle tricks most snowboarders learn. In a Flat Ground 180, you don't use any kicker and just do it on the slope. Your chest rotates toward the downhill side during the takeoff.
-
Step 1 - setup: Ride in on a gentle heel-side edge with closed shoulders
-
Step 2 - pop and rotate: as you're popping turn your head and shoulders forward creating the frontside rotation then bring the board around with the momentum.
-
Step 3 - land: land on the toe-side edge. Remember to keep looking forward and ride it out
