    Tre Flip (360 flip)

    ManVsBoard

    Source: Skate IQ

    Skill:
spin the board 360 degrees under my feet whilst it flips like a kickflip
    Switch:
    Can be ridden switch
    Prerequisites:
    Hippie jump, Pop Shuvit (shove-it)

    What this trick is

The Tre Flip (or 360 Flip) is a combination of a kickflip and a 360 shuvit, where the board flips beneath you length ways whilst also spinning a full rotation.

    Before you try it

Get good at hippie jumps and 360 shuvits. Kickfips are not essential, as the flicking motion is more similar to a shuvit.

    How to do it

    1. Foot position - Back foot on the tail, anywhere between the very back of the tail and the pocket, with toes up to the edge of the deck. Front foot between the middle of the board and front bolts, toes in the centre of the board and heel overhanging the edge.

    2. Weight Distribution - Load weight more on the back foot than the front.

    3. Jump - Jump off of your back foot and scoop the tail, aiming to land on back foot again 3 feet in front of you.
    4. Flick your front foot as the board rotates, as if you are doing a 'light kickflip' that would usually flip the board upside down. This just guides the flip, rather than relying on the front foot to do the work.
    5. Catch the board and land! As the board completes is rotation, focus on landing the back foot, to bring it back after the scoop.

    Common mistakes

    • Pushing tail into the ground and forcing the rotation - Try to 'bounce' the tail off of the ground as your feet are on the way up. Think pop-shuvit!
    • Trying to do too much in the air - TreflipTre flip technique happens mostly at the pop/scoop with the front foot just guiding.
