What this trick is
This trick starts with an ollie, and lands and rides out in a manual position (on(usually theaccross a raised platform) and lands back wheelson withall front4 wheels raised). wheels.
It is a super stylish trick and often used to link tricks together, or to travel accross a raised platform/pad in style!
How to do it
- Foot Placement - Similar to an ollie, but with your front foot slightly more towards the nose to help with control and balance.
- Weight - Keep your weight over your back truck, using the back wheels as your pivot point.
- Pop your ollie focusing more on gaining height from popping your tail rather than levelling out the nose.
- When landing on the platform, keep your front foot elevated as you hold your head and centre of gravity over the back truck.
- Balance and make controlled adjustments as you ride out your manual, aiming to hold it to the end of the platform.
- As you reach the end of the platform, step the front wheels down so that they hit the ground at the same time as the back wheels, not before!
Helpful Hint
Try to get comortable doing ollie to manual on flat, then add a thin piece of ply, aiming to ollie on and manual the length of it. Eventually start trying curb height obstacles! This is all about practicing the balance of holding the manual!manual after an ollie!
