Carving Carving (Turn by leaning)
- Skill:
- turn by leaning my weight forwards or backwards
What this trick is
Carving is the name given to turning on your skateboard by leaning. It uses the mechanism of the trucks to steer in the direction that pressure is applied.
Before you try it
Be comfortable riding forwards at a low to moderate speed.
Ensure your trucks are loose enough that your deck leans and the wheels steer when intent pressure is applied, but not so loose that they wobble when riding or the deck touches the wheel (wheelbite) when trying to turn.
How to do it

- To turn Left lean backwards so your bodyweight is through your heels
