No Comply Shove-it
- Skill:
- do a no comply shove-it on flatground with style
- Prerequisites:
- Introduction, Picking a skateboard, Regular or goofy, Pushing, Foot braking, Tic tacs
The no comply shove-it is a super stylish flatground trick where you step off your board with your front foot, spin the board 180 degrees with your back foot, and jump back on.
How to learn
-
Drill the scoop standing still. Front foot on the ground, back foot scoops the board through a backside shuvit. Catch with your back foot. Repeat until it lands predictably and consistently.
-
Jump onto it. Same scoop, but jump whilst board is in the air and aim to land on it.
-
Add the step-off. Stand on the board with both your front foot and back foot on the bolts! Jump off with both feet and the moment your front foot touches the ground, scoop with the back foot as practices in step 1. The contact with the ground and the scoop have to be synced. Whilst the board rotates, jump off the ground from your front foot and land back on the board!
- Do it rolling. Slow at first. Back foot on the bolts, jump off and scoops, jump and land.
Common mistakes
- Back foot on the tail. This is a more advanced version of the trick, the above version is much easier but may be less stylish and less transferable to the other no-comply variations.
- One foot land Some people do this trick by landing just one foot and the board and then they step the front foot on only once the board has landed. This looks awkward and incomplete. Aim to land both feet on the board and roll away!
