No Comply Shove-it
- Skill:
- do a no comply shove-it on flatground with style
- Prerequisites:
- Shove-it
The no comply shove-it is a super stylish flatground trick where you step off your board with your front foot, spin the board 180 degrees with your back foot, and jump back on.
How to do it
- Drill the scoop standing still. Front foot on the ground, back foot scoops the board through a backside 180. Repeat until it lands flat and predictable.
- Jump onto it. Same scoop, but leave the ground before the board lands and aim to land on it. Low risk if it goes wrong - try it walking into a bank.
- Add the step-off. Stand on the board with your back foot on the bolts, not the tail. Jump off with your front foot and scoop with the back foot the moment your front foot touches the ground. The two have to be synced.
- Do it rolling. Slow at first. Back foot on the bolts, step off, scoop, jump on.
Common mistakes
- Back foot on the tail. The board shoots away when you step off. Keep it on the bolts so the board stays put.
- Scooping late. If the scoop comes after your front foot has landed, the trick looks disjointed and you step on one foot at a time. Time the scoop with the front foot touching down
