Nose Grab
- Skill:
- land a straight air with a Nose grab
- Prerequisites:
- Straight Air, Indy Grab
The Nose grab has the easiest name to remember of any grab: front hand, tip of the nose. Learn it after the basic grabs like the Indy feel solid, because it needs one extra ingredient. With both legs tucked evenly you can't reach the nose. Pull your front knee up and extend your back leg down, and the nose comes right to your front hand.
That independent leg movement is the whole trick. Your upper body stays neutral and your head stays up, as if you were still riding. Don't bend down for the grab, it puts you off balance. Practice the leg position on a trampoline first, then on a jump you're comfortable with, do the leg movement without grabbing. It feels awkward to not bend both legs evenly in the air, so get used to it before adding the hand.
