Mute Grab
The Mute grab means reaching down with your front hand and grabbing the toe edge between your bindings. Your arm crosses over your front knee, which makes this feel more awkward than an Indy at first. But it's a core grab that opens the door to many grab combinations.
Works well on both heelside and toeside airs off the L-kicker.
Key tips
- Your front hand crosses over your front knee to reach the toe edge
- Tuck hard — the Mute requires more knee tuck than the Indy
- Keep the handle tight to your hip with your back hand
- Don't rush it — wait until you're at the peak to grab
