Straight Airs (L-Kicker)
The large kicker (L-kicker) gives you more airtime and height. The approach is the same as the small kicker, but everything is amplified — more speed, more pop, more air. Master this from all four stances: heelside, toeside, switch heelside, and switch toeside.
Key tips
- The bigger kicker is less forgiving — your edge and speed must be consistent
- Don't over-edge into the kicker — a progressive edge works best
- You'll have more time in the air — stay compact and controlled
- Land with extra knee bend to absorb the bigger impact
- If you're going too big, reduce your approach speed, not your edge
