Adding images and videos

Paste links directly into your edit — admins will automatically convert and attribute them when the edit is applied. No manual embedding needed.

  • YouTube video: paste a plain YouTube link on its own line.

    Renders as an embedded YouTube video.
  • Looped GIF from YouTube: add a ?START-END range.

    Admins convert this into a short looping clip and add source credit.
  • Still image from YouTube: add a single ?TIMESTAMP.
    https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID?0:42
    Admins extract a frame at that moment and add source credit.
  • Image from the web: use Markdown image syntax or a bare URL ending in .jpg/.png/.gif/.webp.

    Admins download the file locally and add proper attribution.

Timestamps can be M:SS or H:MM:SS.

Note: looped GIFs and still images from YouTube can't be previewed as actual media yet — they'll show up as plain text until an admin processes them.
